Those players are grinding to play hard later in the season.BattleBots is an American robot combat television series and company. There's no trade-able loot or currency, there's basically no market to sell accounts. D3 has no reason to bot other than to prepare for high GR pushes. Personally I think it's disgusting that the game is designed in such a way that people who grind 23 hours a day can get that far ahead of human players, since the concept of "leaderboards" to me is "who is the best barb player in the world?" Blizzard, unfortunately, thinks leaderboards are "who is the best barb player in the world who also happens to play 23 hours a day for weeks on end?"īut trying to pretend that botters are automatically bad players is simply delusional. Knowing how to best use pylons, what packs to pull and what mobs to avoid, being good enough to dodge 99.9999% of attacks because basically anything in GR120 is an instakill - it's difficult. Knowing how to play in the highest rifts, solo or not, requires a tremendous amount of skill and practice. Once that's all done, toward the end of the season, the botters actually pick up the game and push higher and harder content than the vast majority of players are capable of. the paragon levels, gear, and 1% legendary gem upgrades. The intent of botting is to get the tedious grindy bullshit out of the way. Most botters are amazingly good at the game.
